Glamping at Sandy Pines in Kennebunkport Maine

Sandy Pines Camping, right next to the big marsh in Cape Porpoise, Maine, is a fun getaway if you want to sleep in a themed cabin…or a Conestoga Wagon, or an old Airstream trailer.  Or an “Out of Africa” style camp tent with all of the trappings, lace, and candles and luxury in the Glamping zone. This part of Maine is already a stand-out. Cute little coves, authentic lobster shacks, sailboats, and fishing boats and buoys and docks.

Glamping in Maine! Stay in a Conestoga wagon or an Airsteam trailer!

Sandy Pines is a great addition to the lodging choices, they have a wide range of different accommodations, from bringing your own Airstream or RV to some of their luxury cabins in a fun range of motifs.

Our night at the Airstream was a good night’s sleep.  It was very quiet next to the marsh, and we had our own fire pit with firewood supplied by the General Store.

Nice scene. Sandy Pines has had a great few years, their occupancy stays at around 90 percent during the busy summer and fall seasons.

Really Clean Bathrooms

Best of all, the bathrooms and showers are pristine and private–nice features for anyone who wants more glamp and less camp.  The campground is open until Columbus Day weekend, so you’ve still got time to experience sleeping in a Conestoga wagon, or your own comfy RV with a view of the pretty marsh and beaches right nearby.
