“This Week in Travel”– My First Time on the Podcast

After our marathon drive to the farthest reaches of Pennsylvania, we made it to the palatial Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington. We arrived at the big lobby just in time for me to join Chris Christenson, Jen Leo and Gary Arndt on their “This Week in Travel” Podcast.

I’ve admired Chris for his well-established Amateur Traveler podcast that I appeared on last year, and I’ve known the trio of Jen Leo, Chris, and Gary for ages.  I see them at most of the conferences I attend, and they are all real pros in the travel writing industry.

We talked about my visit to the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama, where all of the lost baggage ends up when it’s lost by airlines. It’s a fun place to visit and if you’re ever looking for an iPad or some cheap digital cameras, this is your spot.

We also talked about travel topics like the laptop ban and other topics about travel in the news recently.
