Long Beach, Palm Springs and Laguna Beach, Great Spots for a California Getaway!

I’m still thinking about our terrific trip to Southern California last week. What I loved about it was that we choose three distinct cities, all much different, and we got a chance to savor what makes each one so great.  I am looking forward to creating some 2-minute videos about these and other destinations I’ve visited. I think YouTube is a perfect place to showcase my combination of video, still photos, music from the area and a voiceover.   Here is one of my first ones, (forgive my not-that-great audio track) it’s about Porquerolles, an island I visited in Provence in the fall.

Soon I’ll be mixing some of the videos and photos with a script about the three towns we visited–Long Beach, Palm Springs and Laguna Beach. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Aliso Beach is right across from where we stayed, the Ranch at Laguna Beach. Perfect spot, with a snack bar and bathrooms too!

Shaw's Cove, Laguna Beach, is a great place to check out the tide pools in low tide. Unfortunately this wasn't during high tide.
