2026, a New Year Filled with Snow

We got a wallop of a storm over the weekend, forcing me to stay inside for four days straight. I was unimpressed with my choice of activities; too much scrolling on Reddit and watching endless YouTube videos. I am glad that this is the year when I am going to fill up my time with productive activities. I’m all registered, and now the homework begins for Anthropology 104 and Intro to Psychology up at Greenfield Community College.
I gave up on my gas snowblower; once again, it failed me by not starting. So Sam and I just did the whole driveway with our shovels, not that bad. I’m getting rid of the old blower soon.
I am happy with this new set of duties, which will blend in with my Sofie driving and pickleball. Sadly, my favorite pickleball venue, the Deerfield Railyard Pickleball, is closing down at the end of the month. So I’ll have to find a new weekday joint or pay up at the new Rally House. But $8 a session x every day will begin to add up. Not sure what to do.
I met a lovely woman in real life. WOW. So happy that I went to that New Year’s Party. Now the fun part, dating, telephone conversations, and eventually, this might lead somewhere. Whatever happens, I’m glad that this is happening!

I’m getting back into my regular lunch visits, last week I joined Paul Shoul and Marc Berman at a new sushi restaurant in Hadley. Pretty good! I’m also starting regular dinner visits with my old friend Joe; we always have so much to talk about, and I like making this a regular monthly event.
