It Rains, We Pout
Outside the deluge continues. I think we have it so easy here in Mass, with no hurricanes, tornadoes, hailstones or monsoons. Other places have all of these and more. So a little of this rain outside doesn’t bother me.
I read in the WSJ a story about how profitable it’s been for the US government to lend billions to CitiBank. Earnings on the interest will be $7 billion when Citi sells their $32 billion stake over six months. The government has Morgan Stanley helping them manage the sale of 27% of the bank giant. The original loan was $25 billion.
Up on the walls of the cafe are photos by Pinaki Chakraborty, who is from India and took photos across the eastern US. They are lovely and make me re-appreciate this beautiful country.
