Memories of the Coldest Place I’ve Ever Been: Winnipeg
One thing that’s all the rage these days is to send out a simple question to a whole bunch of attention-hungry bloggers, like me. I got a quick email asking me a simple question, what was my best and coldest winter season travel experience.
So I sent in some pithy words about my time in Winnipeg, which is certifiably the coldest place I’ve ever visited. I went there in February 2015. The highlight of that trip was ice skating along the frigid Red River with a local woman who shared many stories of people who commute to the city on ice skates.
Then the Winnipeg Jets played a scrimmage on the river ice, and that evening, we watched some great bands play at the Voyageurs festival.
