Tall Meets Short in China
It had to happen some day. The tallest and the shortest man in the world met face to face. Here Mr Xishun shakes hands with Mr Ping Ping, he’s 7′ 9″ and Ping measures up at 2’4″. The little guy is Mongolian and Bao Xishun, is a herdsman from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. There is actually a man even shorter than Ping but he didn’t make the reunion.

Is the hand in the bottom right there to catch the little man if he falls off the chair………Classic!

I think those hands are keeping the little guy at bay, its quite clear they don’t like each other, that’s a fight night handshake

Max, Love your website. Of interest in particular is your article “Tall meets short in China” (Saturday 14th July 2007) We love Mr Ping, as for Mr Xishun (aka Mr Big) hes good, but he’s, well lets just say, he’s no Mr Ping. Do you have anymore pictures? We congratulate you and your website and have made you an honorary member (at no cost) of our appreciation society. We have limited material at the mo, but frantically we push the limits for these mongolian wonders in hope of building a site as commendable as yours. One point to raise is that you refer to Xi (as his friends refer to him) as a chinese herdsman. He is in fact mongolian. Bao Xishun, is a herdsman from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. Whilst Xi, a very subdued family man would not utter word on your inaccuracy, I feel nevertheless he would not appreciate such a mistake given the chinese / mongol fiesty relations. You’re just lucky you didn’t make the same mistake with Mr Ping! Anyway Max – thanks for your great picture, keep up the good work. Greg Holborow
