The Arts District is full of former warehouses and other buildings repurposed as art galleries and studios in downtown Las Vegas. The Praying Mantis sculpture has been to Burning Man twice, and every night shoots 30′ flames as a drum circle surrounds him at the Container Park in downtown Las Vegas. The Container Park has 40 shops, cafes and restaurants and they allow month to month leases so people can experiment with new businesses. It’s funded by The Downtown Project, a $350 million private investment personally spent by Zappos founder Tony Hsieh. Both actual containers and prebuilt steel boxes were used to create the Container Park. At the Sin City Gallery, erotic art of all shapes and sizes is on display and has proved to be wildly popular in Vegas. The rooftop mini golf course next to the Bistro, cafe and ping pong table room, all for the pampered and well taken care of employees of online shoe store, Zappos, in downtown Las Vegas.
