A Little Piece of Brazil at the Arts Block
This Valley couple brought a little Brazil to the Arts Block on Saturday night. Cesar is a musician who leads bands in Miami, and Eve is a singer from the Valley. Together they made a CD and the night’s performance was a bit of improv vocals and a nice mix of traditional bossa nova melodies.
Once again it was the kind of hip and different music that we’ve seen again and again at the Arts Block. A cultural renaissance requires a lot of diverse types of music, this was a pleasing and cosmopolitan evening of music.
Santana is a guitarist and vocalist from Brazil. He performs many genres of music with his own Brazilian jazz flavor. He has been a lifelong musician, and is now a sought after musician in Miami.
Cezar performs with his band “Batuke Samba Funk”, and performs as a solo artist, as well as in duos and trios, for festivities of all kinds. His touring recently included Haiti, Costa Rica and the Middle East. And now New England! Recently he created an original album with Eve Christoph. It is their pleasure to share their innovative new work in performance at The Arts Block.
Eve Christoph is a singer whose musical talent embraces many genres. She grew up with musical theater, and enjoyed 15 years of operatic training and performance. As she expresses her voice and music, Eve is greatly influenced by Soul and R&B artists, as well as world beat, romance and pop. Eve is a live performance social-dance DJ for weddings, retreats and nightlife.
