Easthampton’s Cultural Chaos Happens this Weekend
Tomorrow is an exciting day in what I consider the most exciting town in the Valley.
It’s Easthampton’s Cultural Chaos, a combination of street fair, musical performances, and all of Cottage Street open for everyone. This year the walkway that was built around Nashawannuck Pond will be in full swing, and there will even be paddleboat and kayaks to rent for those who want to get out onto the water for some fun.
I am happy that I’ll be around this weekend to come over to the city and enjoy the festivities. Traveling is fun but sometimes you gotta enjoy what’s happening in your own back yard.
My friends are playing music on one of the Cultural Chaos stages, so I’ll be sure to stop by when Wild Bill and the Flying Sparks take the stage. This festival packs a whole lot into one day. There will be family face-painting and chalk drawing, baby goats (but no baby goat yoga), open studios on Cottage Street, music at Luthiers and in the Brass Cat parking lot, comedy, lots of artist vendors, and a busker zone! There will also be lots of food vendors, making art, puppets, pickle ball, and terrarium making to check out.
My friends in Wild Bill’s band will play at 2 pm at Luthiers, where music goes from 1 to 11 pm. On the parking lot stage, it’s 12-5pm with six different bands, including Mark Nomad blues and Pamela Means band playing jazz.
Cultural Chaos….get on it!
