I remember this scene well, it was early morning, and I took a stroll down a back street in Shiraz, Iran in 2008. Men were lining up to get breakfast from a giant metal bowl, it was called ful, a mix of chickpeas and vegetables, served using this lavash bread as forks and spoons.
